THE ATTIC

Above the last rung of every ladder there is one more rung, and above that — the Astral Attic. It keeps its own weather. Boxes of moonlight, jars of last year's storms, and a workbench where small things are made by hand.

Everything in this shop was made up there and carried down: stones caught in copper, planets strung in gold, floors painted with serpents and old signs. If a piece found its way to you, that was probably not an accident.

THE MAKER

Astral Attic is a one-person workshop in Brisbane. Every piece of jewellery is wrapped, strung and finished by hand, one at a time. The yoga mats — the Floors — begin as oil paintings, photographed flat and printed full-bleed onto suede-top natural rubber.
